The Details of the JH501 College Hoodie 2.0
The JH501 isn’t about changing everything that makes the JH001 successful. Instead, the focus has been on refining the details that matter.
Importantly, the JH001 and JH501 share the same core sizing, helping customers move between the two styles with confidence. The JH501 has introduced important updates to the hood construction, rib, drawcords, fabric and decoration surface.
The result is the familiar hoodie you already know and love, which has been optimised for improved shape, durability, decoration and rebranding.
What has changed?
One of the most visible changes is the three-panel hood.
Its refined construction gives the JH501 greater shape and structure, while the middle panel also creates a natural divide that can help reduce placement errors when adding decoration.
The hoodie also features a heavier rib, designed to help improve and maintain its shape over time.
Premium drawcords complete the update, with silver and gunmetal eyelets and tips designed to complement the colour range. The JH501 drawcord has also been developed to minimise pilling and remove the risk of fraying.
Fabric Designed with Decoration in Mind
For a blank hoodie, what’s underneath the print matters just as much as what goes on top.
The JH501 uses a three-end fleece construction, creating a thicker fabric with a soft, premium hand feel. It combines this with ringspun cotton and yarn that’s 20% finer, producing a smoother, less fibrous surface.
The cotton-only print surface has also been developed for improved absorption and long-lasting print results.
Beyond decoration, the fabric construction offers better stretch for comfort and fit, alongside minimal shrinkage to help the hoodie maintain its shape over time.
A+ Customisation Results
The JH501 has been developed to perform across multiple decoration methods and give laser sharp results for DTF and DTG prints, and also be extremely efficient with screen print, embroidery and vinyl.
An unobstructed locker patch provides another dedicated branding location, while the tear-away size pip allows the garment to be freely branded. Optimised pocket positioning also creates more usable print space across the front of the hoodie.
Combined with the three-panel hood, this opens up additional opportunities for brands and decorators to think beyond the traditional front-and-back hoodie print.
